What Do Land Rover, MV Agusta, Daniel Arsham and Deus Ex Machina have in Common?
Some people move through life with a quiet kind of elegance. Filippo Bassoli is one of them.
Our story together began years ago, not with a handshake, but with a yellow 1966 Series 2A Land Rover.
What started as a build turned into a friendship, and now, a film.
Filippo has shaped culture, first at Deus Ex Machina in Italy, now as the man leading MV Agusta into its next chapter. He understands what legacy means. And how to carry it forward with purpose.
In 2019, we threw a Yamaha XT500 from the first Dakar Rally into the back of a Land Rover and drove from Lisbon to Biarritz, Wheels & Waves, Deus Ibiza, Zurich, Frankfurt for the new Defender launch, then Amsterdam.
No agenda. Just a desire to keep moving.
This latest chapter in our Obsession series follows Filippo through the places and machines that define him:
– A private tour of the MV Agusta factory in Varese.
– The launch of a limited edition MV motorcycle with Giacomo Agostini.
– A hand-finished MV by artist Daniel Arsham.
– A visit to Deus Milano, and an afternoon at Fuoriconcorso among legends like Erik Comas.
Ricardo, our founder, asks the questions behind the camera. Filippo tells the story.
This isn’t just about motorcycles or Land Rovers.
It’s about passion, friendship, and how the things we build shape the lives we live.
